A leading Hong Kong construction company is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of sub-contractor and supplier accounts including variations, re-measurement and final accounts
  • Produce and/or analyze monthly reports and forecasts
  • Ensure sub-contract, sub-contract liabilities, safety fines and contra charge notice registers are updated
  • Attend Sub-Contract or Supplier kick off meetings and subsequent package meetings as required.
  • Sub-Contractor payment certificates and payments
  • Undertake any other duties or responsibilities which may reasonably be within the capability or expertise of the SQS

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • MRICS is preferred but not essential
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years relevant working experience with a recognized main contractor
  • Experienced in the construction of government, civil, infrastructure or building projects
  • Strong leadership skills, mature and able to work independently
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for Project QS, Quantity Surveyor and Assistant QS positions

Resposibilities

  • Prepare project programmes including master programme, installation and T&C by using latest version of Primavera
  • Produce monthly reporting inputs of S-curves, submissions schedule and rolling programme
  • Monitor and control technical submissions in accordance to project programme
  • Monitor project progress and report to project manager
  • Assist in and provide a programming view on claim strategy
  • Coordinate with team members, customers, interface contractors, suppliers and subcontractor for project completion
  • Conduct technical meetings with customer’s team, suppliers and subcontractors, where appropriate, and deliver result and reports for the meetings

 

Requirements:

Individuals who meet the following requirements or possess the equivalent combination of competence and experience are invited to apply:

  • Higher Diploma or above in Engineering discipline
  • 5 years’ experience as a planner in large scale infrastructure or railway projects, preferably in signalling projects.
  • Experience and proven skill in works programme planning with Primavera 6 is a must
  • Team player, able to work in complex environment, ad-hoc activities and under pressure
  • Proficient in using MS office applications and MS project
  • Good command of written English and Cantonese
